The European Business Council in Kuwait (EBC) is an organization established to facilitate Kuwaiti and European small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s), newly established or already existing, to connect with each other. One of the European Business Council’s main ambition would be to help young entrepreneurs from all countries in Europe to understand the concept of doing business in Kuwait, and, assist Kuwaiti entrepreneurs to expand their business internationally, inside Europe; as well as support European entrepreneurs to develop their business in the continuously growing Kuwaiti Market.

MISSION: EBC’s core mission is to provide a platform for Kuwaiti SME’s, young entrepreneurs and fresh graduates to build a constructive dialogue with European counterparts in order to facilitate business cooperation and knowledge exchange of bright and implementable ideas that will result in a fruitful growth of the Private sector in Kuwait.

VISION :EBC envision itself to emerge as a major channel between Kuwaiti existing or future entrepreneurs and European businesses, European organizations, through events management and networking. EBC hopes to become a major bridge between Europe and Kuwait that will facilitate mutual cooperation and business development between the two regions.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s) are a powerful economic engine for Europe. According to “Business Europe”, a leading organization advocating for growth and competitiveness of companies at European level, over 2002-2010, SMEs created 80% of the new jobs in the EU. Entrepreneurship and startup scene in Europe is one of the most flourishing all over the world. Entrepreneurship is responsible for the creation of hundreds of thousands of businesses and SMEs in Europe and it has led to the creation of multi-billion-euro market in Europe. Over 2008-2013, the evolution of employment in SMEs scored from -27% to +19% in the various EU countries.
